Basically 1-8 I jam a lot, 9-14 not so much I still remember getting grounded in 6th grade for asking my parents to buy this for me. This is one of the most classic death metal albums for a reason. If you don't like this, then you are automatically a pussy. I think I listened to this like 15 times already. This one took me a while to come around to because I think that Christ Barnes sounds like shit here and very Six Feet Under esque, but after giving it a few more shots I get that it sounds like their most realistically violent and there is something darker about this one.Ĭombines their brutal sound of old with the better musicianship of new.

Fantastic introduction to Fischer's career with them.Įven though this is 6, I still love this album to death and listen to it all the time. Not as technically great as their later work, but this album just sounds disgusting - which for them is a compliment. Sure the production blows, but the songwriting is pretty fun. This one is pretty underrated among CC fans imo. Priests of Sodom is a gay ol' time as well. Songs start to sound a bit same-y but the title track is a fucking killer. Fantastically brutal cover art, though.įun thrashy time, but it's not REALLY Cannibal Corpse yet. Meat Hook Sodomy fucking rules, but other than that I don't really see a reason to throw this on all the way through. Never really listen to it straight though though. Production blows but there are a couple good live tracks here. I don't really give a shit about this one.
